Scarlett Braden is the author of the Providence in Ecuador suspense series, and the editor of Friends in Foreign Places: An Expat Anthology- a project designed
to raise money for earthquake recovery on Ecuador’s northern coast. In 2017 Scarlett plans to release the 4th book in the Providence in Ecuador series, as well as
launching two new series, a series of Crime shorts called The Frangapani Venture and a women’s Fantasy series called Paisley Cove.
She is one of seven women contributors
to Seven Degrees of Wisdom to be released this year. She is a moderator for Writing Our World, a writer’s support group, a regular participant at The Spoken Word, a member of the
planning committee for the annual Cuenca International Writer’s Conference, an Author’s Assistant, teaches marketing strategies and self-publishing skills.
A former technical writer, Scarlett moved from the southern United States to Ecuador in 2014. Cuenca, nestled in the Andes mountains is now home. She shares her home with her
15-year-old Bichon who also immigrated from the U.S. and a 3-year-old Ecuadorian pound puppy. She says having one English speaking dog and one Spanish speaking dog has helped
progress her Spanish significantly.
